why is mark sanderson suddenly so prominent in all things wt/jw?.
others have commented on the obvious narcissism of the gb pushing themselves to the fore recently, in particular after their huge doctrinal change at proclaiming themselves and only themselves as the faithful and discreet slave.. this is clearly true as evidenced at the agm, not only throughout the agm, but also in the video that was featured as part of that meeting.

Oobly-Ott, for the record I haven't hijacked any threads. Every post I've made was in harmony with the thread title/theme. Now my posts my not cheerlead the ex-JW views here, but this forum is for discussion and that includes pro and con views. I can't help it if some posters let their emotions get the better of them and they throw questions at me not in harmony with the thread. Quiet One did the right thing and put his questions on another thread.

Let me ask you something. Have you ever seen what happens when an elder or ministerial servant gets appointed? They usually get slammed with privileges. Accounts, sound, literature, territory, assisting older friends, moving people, parts, etc.. And dont let that brother be young and/or single! If I'm not mistaken, Sanderson isn't married, right? Plus he's younger than the rest of those serving on the GB. It makes sense to see him featured more than the others as of late.

Respectfully, I think you're looking too far into this. Couple things come to mind when thinking about Bro. Sanderson being so visible all of a sudden. Could be because he's younger and not as entrenched with other responsibilities already being handled by other GB members and their assistants. As he result he might not be as tired and has more time to be present in these situations. Could also be because he's so new and maybe not as familiar to the friends as say, Bro. Splane. So the GB sees fit to make him more visible so that the friends can familiarize themselves with him. I don't think this indicates a lack of humility or modesty.

dubs who read it (assuming they have at least one or two brain cells left) will run from their religion like flies on shit when you pour bleach on it and blow it up with dynamite.. toss away crisis of conscience, apocalypse delayed, 30 years a watchtower slave and all those other very nice books and read this one.
i read those and all the other ones.

Jehovah's Witnesses definately handle death better than non-believers. We're the only organization that applies 1 Thess 4:13-18 as we have not only a hope, but a hope that we believe in and share with others. In other words, we're not content with maintaining a secret about the condition of the dead, but we want others to know this as well so that they may gain comfort. We're the only organization following Christ's attitude towards death in that we recognize those not alive amongst us, are simply asleep.-Matt 9:24

I had my doubts and concerns at one point, well to be honest a few different points but those were during my teenage years which was the hormonal fire of my youth. That said, some of my transgressions of unbelief were understandable. Fortunate enough for me, I was born into the True Religion. Being raised by a father who was an elder from when the Congregation Servant arrangement was done away with, and by a mother and devoted wife who was a Regular Pioneer, 2nd generation I might add, I was free of and not exposed to the misleading and toxic beliefs that so many children of non-believers are subjected to. I reflect warmly upon my upbringing which was similar to Timothy in that I was taught from infancy the Truth found within the Scriptures-2 Tim 3:15. No confusion, or contradicting messages was I exposed to, and it's helped me to worship Jehovah by supporting and following the direction of His Organization. That same organization that provided my parents with the Truth that was passed on down to me.
One of the reasons I'm able to continue supporting the belief that was passed onto me without unnecessary questions(Titus 3:9), is by reflecting upon how God has dealt with His people throughout the Scriptures. Jehovah has always used some form of organization and mediatorship to fulfill His purposes upon the Earth as it relates to spiritual direction. Examples that you probably think of immediately are Moses, Joshua, David, and Samuel, amongst other faithful servants found within the Hebrew Scriptures. In later times he used a governing body of faithful and experienced Christians to resolve disputes and provide spiritual direction.- Acts 15:22-31
That said, why wouldn't Jehovah do the same today? In fact, He's provided something superlative in the arrangement of guiding His people. Jesus' ransom was for the benefit of all mankind. However, much like the Israelites who needed to take action in order to bless themselves (Isa 48:18), in order for people to benefit from Jesus' sacrifice, they need to recognize who he's entrusted with the care of his sheep(Matt 24:45-47). To not do so would be an exercise in futility. (Matt 25:31-46) In order to determine who that Slave is, one would have to look at their record, and what a record it is! There is no organization other than Jehovah's Witnesses under the direction of it's Governing Body, that is, spreading the good news of the Kingdom (Matt 24:14), and providing instruction to others on how remain in harmony with God's will in a world of spiritual darkness.-Matt 5:16
All the other religions of the world are doing things contrary to God's will. They're involved with politics, rife with sexual immorality, supporting homosexuality, hiding pedophilia, and fleecing their flocks for every penny they can get out of them. Jesus warned us about such individuals and groups. (Matt 7:22) Jehovah's Witnesses can proudly say that the organization they belong to is unscathed by such abhorrant behavior because they follow the direction of the Governing Body who's sole interest is in the spiritual welfare of True Christians.
Think about what the Governing Body has provided Jehovah's Witnesses with. We have a Congregation Book Study where we learn about faithful individuals such as Jeremiah, the apostle Paul, and how we can imitate their examples. We have the Theocratic Ministry School which provides Bible instruction to make us more afluent with the Scriptures. We have the Service Meeting which which provides instruction on how to assist the spiritually despondent that we meet in our ministry. Our Sunday meetings provide us with a timely discourse to encourage and upbuild us spiritually so that we may persevere within this system of things.(2 Tim 3) Our WT Study provides all in attendance an oppurtunity to provide expressions of faith as directed by the material within the article so that we can provide an interchange of encouragement.-Rom 1:11, 12.
Quiet One, no other organization is as blessed as we are as Jehovah's Witnesses. The reason why boils down to us recognizing who Jehovah through Jesus is using. That being the Faithful and Discreet Slave when they act in unison as the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. I strongly encourage you read 1 Tim 4:6, as we're the only organization directed by a faithful Slave living up to the words found within that passage.

by raymond frantz infor the ones based in britain only the "few" were invited to attend the agm .they received their new grey bible and the rumor was that the new bible will not be available for the rest of the congragations until january .it was confirmed tonight .a letter was read as local announcement that the new bibles will not be available until the end of january for the rest of the congragation .all the in crowd were sat there with their new flashy bible looking smug.also the bible reading was read from the new bible to make it all the more obvious ..... the real aftermath of agm....

I won't expect a reply, you apologists often don't have the courtesy to do so.
Ouch. It's kinda difficult to reply to everything directed to me being one of the lone apologists on this forum, not to mention I've got posting limits as a newbie. But as to your questions about why this is happening in the UK, who knows? To be straight with you, and this is a brief moment of me being critical of the organization, you may not see this again, but it wouldn't surprise me if the differences between the US' and the UK's handling of the AM and release of the RNWT were as simple as a miscommunication. That's the least worse case scenario I can think of. Another scenario, the UK's JW leadership has a measure of autonomy and decided themselves how to handle the meeting and Bible release. If that's the case, it was a poor decision on their part. Another reason for the differences between the US and UK, and this is worst case scenario, it may have had to do with supply and demand with the US Branch carrying more weight than the UK and as a result the brothers in the UK organizing the affair had their hand forced. I don't know as I'm not in the know. However, unfortunately I might add, I've seen my fair share of brothers getting their way on organizational matters or procedural matters related to Circuit Assemblies, and District Conventions simply because of who they were. Seen Convention Chairmen throw their weight around, the same as some DOs, COs, and elders. Imperfect men.
